I am back from shopping in Madrid. In this Madrid shopping haul video I show you what I bought, how I wear it, with a few Madrid shopping tips thrown in for women over 40.

I’m back from my shopping trip in Madrid and today I’m going to show you what I bought, how I wear them, with a few tips thrown in.

Madrid is not usually a shopping destination, but what I did find is that it has an abundance of cost effective options for high fashion items. It is also the Mecca of shoes. So if you love shoes, then Madrid is a wonderful place for you.

I found these beautiful Gloria Ortiz gold boots at El Corte’ Ingles. They are quite unique and because they are gold, they go with everything.
Tip: I did find that Spanish shoes are a little bigger and wider. When shopping for shoes there, you may need to go up a size to find your perfect fit.

I was on the look out for red boots, but I couldn’t find them. I happened to pass by a charity shop and found this pair for €4. How’s that for a bargain.
Tip: If you find something in a charity shop for a good price, but it’s not what you want or would ordinarily buy, rather spend that money on a glass of wine or tappas down the street. Don’t waste your money, even if you think it’s a good buy.

Madrid is really big on their high street brands. Zara, Mango, Desigual, Woman’ Secret etc. They are all from Spain. Even if you think you know these stores, when you go to Madrid, pop in to see what they have. They often stock items you may not find in your home town.

I found these divine ruffle trousers at Zara. They may not be suitable for everyday wear, but it’s a great alternative to the little black dress for the evening.
