Belts are a great way of defining your waist and making you look slimmer in an instant, but many women are afraid of wearing belts because they aren’t sure how. In this video I’m going to tell you how to wear belts for your body shape for women over 40.
I love wearing belts and I often encourage my clients to wear them because they can define your waist, de-emphasis your tummy and make you look slimmer in an instant… if you know how. Here are a few tricks to getting it right.
When wearing a wide belt ensure that you wear it high up into your waist. If you wear it too low, you are going to add extra volume and emphasis to your tummy. The perfect width and shape of the belt will vary from woman to woman so try a few to find the style that suits you best.
If you wear a thin belt, but it’s too long, simply knot it. This makes it look styled and won’t get in your way.
If you need to wear a belt to keep your pants or jeans up, make sure to choose the right type of belt for your body shape. If you have a flattish tummy, tuck your tops in and wear the belt as an accessory. If you have a tummy, then opt for wearing your tops over your jeans and wear a simple flat buckle belt underneath to keep from adding extra bulk to that area.
