I am back from New York…. and what an inspiring place! In this video I share the top 5 things I love about NY fashion and I give you tip on how you can integrate these things into your everyday look.
1. Anything goes: In New York, anything goes, which gives you great freedom to wear what you want to wear.
2. You can really create your own look: Because anything goes, it’s a great way of trying out something new. But why wait to go to New York to do this? Why not wear what you want to wear in your own city.
3. They have an appreciation for style: New Yorkers really do appreciate style and someone wearing something different. I took my favorite red boots with me and every time I wore them, I was complimented by all different kinds of people.
4. It’s cool to be comfortable: Because New Yorkers walk a lot, they wear comfortable, stylish shoes. I didn’t see women hobbling around in uncomfortable stilettos.
5. Thrifting is cool: Thrifting is not only cost effective, but it’s a super easy way to create your own look. There are an abundance of great thrift stores in New York and they are busy, because some many people see the value of thrifting.
